Uh huh. Guess we'll have to find something else to meet your expectations. [ devious. he does not plan to right away because danny still looks completely shellshocked, but he hops up and bounds out of the cart to the platform to exit. at least he's polite enough to wait for him to follow. ]
[ buddy. he is not perceiving! (he is definitely kind of perceiving but sparing his pride from pointing it out.) it could also be because now that they're not in the moment his emotions kind of drift out of being extremely thrilled and carefree to their baseline feelings. it's calm, but there's definitely a bit of worry mixed in, a little anxiety, and some frustration settling on the surface. his thoughts are already drifting again, but he does look over his shoulder toward him. ]
[ when his skull stops rattling around his brain and he notices the worry, the anxiety and frustration, it amplifies Danny's own and now he can't quite get back to that distraction frame of mind. ]
Looking for something else to do? I think that's why I asked you where to next. [ it's hard to say if he's doing this on purpose or not, but it does seem that most of that cocktail of emotions isn't even really directed at danny himself. ]
When you told me someone had ordered you to do what you did, I had already suspected your leader was responsible. Context of things helps. And even then, I don't think you should've died the way you did.

...the day after I told you, I got a message saying I violated the rule for keeping the role a secret. Then the app got deleted off my phone and that was that. I thought I was being vague enough still, but I guess not.
I didn't even think there was an app, but of course there was. [ he feels vaguely annoyed again. ] To be honest, a part of me was kind of scared that you'd been killed because you told me as much as you did. I'm glad it wasn't that, but...you get it.
