I didn't fight this hard to keep existing just to give up on it.

Well, I'm not really the one governing, but-- [ this is the perfect time for a a memory! until 4:01 ]

[ charlie is in heaven, trying to prove that her hotel works at redeeming sinners. she's defending angel dust, who fulfilled everything adam (the first man and the leader of the murder exorcist angels) said you should do to get into heaven (be selfless, don't steal, stick it to the man). and obviously, charlie is devastated to learn that vaggie has secretly been an angel exorcist this whole time. awkward. ]

[ the memory ends with adam forcibly ejecting vaggie and charlie from heaven, after bragging that he's coming to their hotel first :) ]

there's a few quiet moments after the memory where he's just trying to process what all he just saw

and then he starts laughing. it's not a pleasant one--it's harsh and mean. if you're waiting for him to stop, he doesn't. he just keeps going. ]

[ yeah uh she was not expecting this, especially after seeing one of her most vulnerable memories play out ]

[ okay he's finally calmed down enough to talk again ] That's what heaven is like where you're from?!

At the time, I thought they weren't all like that. I thought some angels would listen.

Aside from Emily, I was wrong.

[ and wasn't that something special, seeing Charlie actually get angry? He wasn't sure he had it in her. his respect ticks up a notch. ]

And what makes you think it's any different here? Just because the angels we've met seem nice doesn't mean they are. [ politely does not mention charlie's girlfriend's betrayal. ] And we don't know a thing about what this so-called "god" is actually planning.
