Oh. I mean, the camp itself is mostly free of monsters. But it's a camp for kids to learn how to fight and not die against these monsters, so, they're usually a little involved. I've been dealing with them more often because I've been staying in the wilder parts of the camp.
I'm a ghost, Maya. Being dead is not that complicated to me.
It's mostly meant for people who are demigods, which apparently means they're liable to be killed in horrible fashion out in the normal world if they're not prepared for it.
A wish...you mean from your last game? Why would you make a wish that doesn't cover you?
Not really. I'm not exactly a camper like the others, I'm not a demigod. I'm just kind of...there.
[ sighs in annoyance because yeah that absolutely tracks for maya ] So--what happened after you made that wish? Did you even get the chance to see what it did, or did you get thrown straight here?
Nah, there's like a whole system for that. Again, it relies on you being an actual demigod. It's fine, though--I knew that going in. The rules were never going to apply to me as intended.
...if you're not sure what'll happen to you, you can come with me. Either to my original world, where you could become a ghost like me, or to the world I live in now, where Nico could probably resurrect you. Hell, I know a few other worlds where there's afterlives or ways around death.
Well, as long as you get to do stuff, too! Like fight monsters.
.... Thank you, Dante. [ she's gotten a couple of offers like this, so she has some serious thinking to do ] I'll think and see what the best option is.

[ because that's not what she thinks of when she thinks camp ]
I, um. Am dead. It's complicated.

Well, it's complicated 'cause I made a wish that might not cover me, so if it doesn't I'm kinda toast. Literally.

[ that's not a problem ]
I tried to do too much with my wish, so it might not cover me. At the time, I thought it was more important to focus on other things...

[ tilts her head ]
No, straight here.

...alright. But don't just go back to a world where death is final.
