[ walks into the dorm all sweaty and a lil scraped up and covered in some like. gravel and dirt stains i guess?

he stomps over to his room, throws something into it violently before shutting the door, and then calmly walking into the living room and slumping onto a couch ]

[Hans pops up from... the literal cat tower at all the fracas of the thing being thrown, blinking in direction of the door before peeeerin' down at Danny. There's probably at least an actual cat or two up there, either on him or near him, so there's just a concerto of blinking going on.

The cats are probably more offended than Hans.]

What's goin' on, ya look like ya got into a fight with the ground.

[I was imagining like a jumbo cat tower because everything in the dorm is big and office-building sized, okay, maybe it's a mini cat office tower (or something).]

Lost a fight with yerself, then? Or got some sparrin' going.

[It's more casual speculation than a question, Hans humming as things calm down in catsville and everymeowdy else gets back to the extremely important business of napping or being elegantly bored.]

At least ya didn't go and get arrested, nyahaha! It was pretty bustlin' by that station last night, but it was a bigger party than I thought.

...but yeah, I'm surprised so many of them tried to break in last night.

Not since the last time I went fiend-huntin'. Been a pretty good break, come to think of it, I coulda used another week o' that.

[He says this but he still looks like he's on vacation???]

Too many cooks spoils the pot, meow. This's the sort of thing ya do solo or with a couple distractions. [a shrug] That your first execution?

What, like with an audience and an arena and everything? Yeah, that kind of thing hasn't happened in my world in like. A thousand years.

We ain't even got meowch history past a thousand years ago! An' it's not like them big meowin' public executions is something that happens all the time. But seems like most of ya get squeamish, so I was wonderin'.

[Sometimes you are very much from a fantasy society and you're like, y'all have a justice system????]

Judging by all the talk back there, though, this ain't new territory for this place, either. Makes ya wonder how many not-so-villains they've dragged down here, don't it?

Well...maybe some people get squeamish about it. For me, it's more about...how deserved or not it was, I guess. And it was definitely not deserved, here.

And judging by the attitude we saw from the locals, I'm sure plenty others who got executed didn't deserve it. What a way of doling out "justice."

Hrmeow... Ya get down to public executions like this, it ain't about what's deserved or justice or anything. It's about what somebody at the top wants, or somebody with somethin' to prove.

[The chatter really was pretty informative, despite everything else going on. Heroes vs. villains vs. whatever kind of deterrence is being drummed up here, and whatever's going on behind the scenes... He really did want another week's vacation.]

Makes ya kind of wonder what would happen if we ran into one o' them villains, don't it? Somethin' to look forward to. [is it.....]

If it's a "villain," I doubt they'd care what we did to them. If a public execution is fine, then anything we do to them would probably just endear us to them more.
