...why do you even bother healing injuries like this when people are just going to get themselves hurt again?
[his fingers twitch, and he slides his hands into the front pocket of his hoodie. at the question, though - his expression turns thoughtful.]
Why should I let people just keep hurting when there's something I can do to make them hurt less? Just because they might get hurt again in the future... [he shakes his head.] That doesn't mean they should have to keep suffering now.
Like...[ he struggles for a little while here, grasping at an example he can point to ] if you healed someone, and they went on to kill someone else once they were well enough to do so.
Then I'd have to find some way to make up for that. But what if I didn't heal someone, and because of it, they weren't able to defend themself if someone else came after them?
If it'd be partly my responsibility if someone I healed went out and killed someone, then... yeah, I'd say it would be partly my responsibility if someone I refused to heal got killed by someone because they were too hurt to defend themselves.
I can't... control what other people do, though. All I can do is control what I do. [...] So if there's someone hurt in front of me, I want to do what I can to help.
There's so much that so many of us could do before all of this - if they really wanted heroes to help keep things safe around here, why limit us the way we have been?

I have my suspicions, anyway. I was able to do double the amount of healing I've normally been able to here on Thursday - after he kind of got on me a bit. I don't know for sure, but if other people also felt a similar boost when they were with him... it'd make sense.
In any case, I definitely don't think his power is something that would just let him. Crush someone like that.
