We did, eventually. Skulker threatened something the both of us wanted, so it was in both our interests to work together for at least as long as it took to escape.

She killed the girl, only to have her body stolen by her victim, leaving her to be destroyed by the parents trying to protect the murderer?
I'm not really one for justice, but that's about as poetic as you could make it.
